What to expect: This fest, held in historic Hamilton Park, brings together an eclectic mix of internationally acclaimed artists (including Englewood residents) to fill the park with one-of-a-kind compositions, creative improvisation and unique musical collaboration. The Festival was founded by Ernest "Khabeer" Dawkins to celebrate the living legacy of Jazz in Englewood and Chicago's South Side.
Why to go: This year's headliners include the Isaiah Spencer Quintet, Dee Alexander, the Kahlil El Zabar Quartet and Ernest Dawkins' New Horizons Straight Ahead project with special guests Orbert Davis and Willie Pickens.
