Dark, loud and conveniently located, the Lucky Horseshoe kicks off the corner of Boystown at Halsted and Belmont. The windows are even dark, giving the place a feel of ultimate secrecy. But if dancing is the goal, the Lucky Horseshoe is throwing you a line... and you're not the only one dancing. The staff consists of bartenders and servers who are seemingly good friends and male dancers just about every night of the week (and weekend afternoons, too, if you're hoping for a matinee) who are pretty darn friendly, too. The inside is tidy and cavernous and usually boasts a pretty solid roster of bargoers, even in daytime hours, sipping beer or cocktails.
As for location, it couldn't be better: Boystown may spread far down Halsted, but the Lucky Horseshoe is just steps from Spin (the late-night dance mecca you can almost feel thumping from across the street), not far down the street from Sidetracks and just a few blocks from Roscoe's.
