A major makeover turned Annex 3 from a place for a friendly game of pool or darts into the more romantic 3160. Dimmed candles and antique lamps adorn the bar, beyond which sits an elegant carpeted area more befitting of a classy restaurant than a bar. It's home to a piano and 3160's musical revue. Cover-free entertainment is available to patrons Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
You can still catch a friendly game of pool or darts, however. There are two electronic dartboards by the bar, and a dartboard league meets on Mondays. The pool table is down the stairs, surrounded by a leather couch and chairs. If you're bored because someone's beating you, read the variety of magazines available on the bookshelf, including Gay Chicago Magazine.
Drinks range from domestic bottles to chocolate and raspberry martinis. The only TV is above the bar, but the jukebox proves to be more entertaining; its more than 100 selections include everything from dance music to classic rock.
