Far from the largest or most famous exhibition space in Chicago, the MoCP nevertheless consistently raises the bar for well curated, artistically (and often politically) relevant art shows in the city. Internationally recognized photographers, including Yolanda Andrade and Toshio Shibata, have had work displayed here, and you can purchase prints they’ve made especially for the MoCP through the Fine Print Program ($300 per piece). Exhibitions often consist of the works of several artists bound together by a theme. You can visit the Web site to preview what’s showing; it also provides more curatorial information on the artists and pieces than most museum sites do. Admission is free.
